Since I’m on winter break from school and don’t have much else to do except work at American Eagle, I think I’ll take the time to update this frequently. Also, one thing I should point out is that I currently don’t have a comment feature. Tumblr doesn’t feature one automatically, and I’m working on finding an HTML code that will allow for them. Hold tight.
Now, since I have all this time on my hands, I suppose I’ll enlighten you with what I’ve been doing with myself. I’ve been watching Friends. Avidly. I watched the first eight episodes of the first season within three hours. Now, each episode online is only about twenty minutes long, so this is fairly easy to do. But still, eight episodes? That’s a lot. And I’m going to continue watching them tonight.
But what is it about this show that draws people in?
I think it has a lot to do with the closeness of the characters on the show. For instance, when Rachel walks into Central Perk in her wedding dress after leaving Barry at the altar, she is instantly accepted into the group of friends, who are already close. Also, Phoebe is…well, she’s a bit off. A little like me. And yet she’s still got that group of friends that she’s close with, a group that accepts her for who she is.
I’ve got one of those. And I’m thankful every day for them =)
